1. Follow conventions of NETIQUETTE: Netiquette is a collection of rules and standards of decency that should be followed on the internet. The word NETIQUETTE is derived from the English word net (= a common shortcut for the internet) and the word etiquette. Base rules of netiquette: a) Do not forget that there are people on the other side, not a computer. Things that you write on a computer should not be said to people face to face. b) Follow the basic rules of decency from real life. Everything that is inappropriate in real life is also inappropriate on the internet. (Especially rude behavior toward other players.) c) Find out politely who you are talking to. The internet is accessible to people all over the world, and every country has different standards and values. What is acceptable in a US chat may not be acceptable in an Arab one, and the same applies in many other cases. Politics, religion, and similar topics should therefore be discussed with maximum respect and within the bounds of politeness. d) Be considerate of other people. Not everyone has as good an internet connection as you. Some connect from home and pay a lot for it. Do not send unnecessarily long messages that may slow down other peoples computers. e) Try to write properly. Do not be rude and do not publish false or personal information. f) Do not violate copyright rules. g) Help in discussions. If someone has a problem and you know how to solve it, try to answer. Someone else may help you in the future. „First listen, then write.“ h) Respect the privacy of others. If you receive a message that was not meant for you, you should delete it and notify the author. i) Forgive other people for their mistakes. You make them too. Do not laugh at them and do not be rude to them. j) Do not spread hoaxes. They slow down the internet. If you receive a hoax, politely inform the sender that sending such messages is inappropriate. k) Do not send spam or advertisements. 2. Respect hierarchy of server powers: Each member of the GM or Admin team has the authority to punish players for violations at their own discretion. If you believe you were treated unfairly, you may appeal the decision of the GM or Admin team. The appeal must be submitted in writing on the forum to the administrator Mic-net. 3. Solving any rules colision: If there is any conflict in the Vendetta server member rules, each member is required to report it using the email address that was provided on the Vendetta server membership registration form. In case of conflict, the following rule priority applies (a lower number has higher priority than a higher number): 1. Administrator Mic-net. 2. Admin team members. 3. Currently valid Vendetta server member rules. 4. GM team members. 5. Vendetta server game rules. 4. Duties of Vendetta server members: a) Each club member is required to study the Vendetta server game rules available on these webpages. b) Advertising any other servers that do not cooperate with this server is prohibited. c) Only private personal webpages may be shown in a forum user profile. d) Keep a valid and functioning email address in your forum profile. e) Lending your account to anyone is prohibited. 5. Sanctions: Any violation of the Vendetta server club rules may be punished by immediate expulsion from the club. (Only a club member may have a game account here.) Rules were released on 07-23-2007 |

GM team rules:
1. GM team members are not allowed to raise player XP, level, hitpoints or talent points. 2. Spawning NPCs in places where they do not belong is prohibited. This does not apply during an "event", where such spawning is allowed. After the "event", the NPCs must be deleted immediately. 3. Porting players at their own request is prohibited unless it is part of solving a problem. 4. The GM team must not interfere with normal player gameplay. (For example: helping with quests, respawning quest NPCs, and similar actions.) 5. The GM team must help players solve problems in all cases that do not conflict with server rules. If several players ask for help at the same time, the GM may give priority to V.I.P. players. Solving quest-related problems has the lowest priority compared to other solvable issues. 6. It is not allowed to lend GM account to anyone, neither to another GM, nor any player. 7. A GM character may not be a member of a guild. 8. The GM team must keep their knowledge of server rules up to date. (A 7-day tolerance period is allowed for learning newly updated rules.) 9. All members of GM team are supposed to be active on forum and are supposed to visit it at least 3 times a week. 10. GM team members must have a game character of at least level 160. This does not apply when a lower level is required to solve a problem. 11. If any member of GM team is writing a System message, he is supposed to identify himself. 12. Each member of the GM team is expected to appear in the game for at least 5 hours per week. If this is not possible for any reason, a note must be sent to the server administrator in advance. (Time spent in the game is counted on a weekly basis, from Monday to Sunday.) 13. Each member of GM team is supposed to be visible for all players. 14. It is forbidden for a GM to cooperate with any competing server. (Breaking this rule is punished by removal from the GM team and an IP ban.) Basic rules for events: 1. Every event must be announced in advance on the forum in the „Events“ section. The announcement must contain at least the exact date and time of the event start and the reward. For participation in an event, the organizer is required to collect an entry fee from each participant. The fee is calculated using the formula ("player level" * 50 silver) - 5 gold. The minimum entry fee is 50 silver. 2. An event focused only on killing NPCs must have a limit on the number of players, their level, and the time allowed. If a player dies during the event, they may continue only if they are resurrected by another player participating in the same event. 3. It is not allowed to reward an event winner with Epic (purple), Rare (blue), Legendary (orange), Artifact (red or yellow), set, or honor items. A blue (rare) item may be used as a reward only in the event type Monsters vs Guild, for which a guild can register on the forum. 4. An event may not use a flat cash reward for all participants. The reward must always be calculated using a formula that respects the player level. The reward may never be higher than 150g. (Example formula: Reward = 1g x player level.) 5. Monsters vs Guild may be held only once per week. Event participants must be at least level 30 and must all belong to one guild. 6. Event rewards may not include quest-related items or items accessible only to V.I.P. members. 7. An event does not have to be designed to produce a winner at all costs. Monsters VS Guild: 1. It must have a time limit of at most 20 minutes. 2. The maximum number of participating players is 30 (minimum 4). 3. Event participants may place a bet with a GM on the event winner (betting on an NPC is not allowed): level 30..39 - max 30 gold level 40..49 - max 50 gold level 50..59 - max 80 gold level 60..70 - max 100 gold If the bet wins, the group receives double the amount of the bet, which is then divided among the players. If the player chosen for the bet does not win, the bet is lost. If the reward is a rare item, only one player may receive it. If the players do not agree otherwise, the winner is determined by a duel between the players who did not agree on the event winner. The item used as the event reward must be shown on the forum before the Monsters vs Guild event begins. Any rule violation may be punished by removal from the GM or eventmaker team.
